In 1996 Takneat opened the first CBT center in the region to develop its expertise in training and human resource development through Takneat and in 1998 started its Distance learning programs via Satellite, E-learning, Training and Event Management Services. Future Technologies Ltd. (Takneat) provides Middle East a live satellite program in cooperation with reputed American Companies e.g. NTU and Linkage Inc and IIL. The programs are designed to be informative, interactive and flexible. In 2000, The Engineering Simulation and Analysis Laboratory was established, as a collaborative partnership between the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Research Institute (RI), Dr. Abalkhail and Future Technologies Ltd. Located at the KFUPM, RI, ESAL was completely equipped with state-of-the-art computers and engineering software to provide a complete range of design, simulation, analysis and optimization services to commercial and industrial communities in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Countries.
